Giacomo D’Urbano joined the World Justice Project in October 2021 and is the Program Associate for the Qualified Respondent Questionnaire (QRQ) team in the European Union Subnational project.
Born and raised in Rome, Italy, he graduated from Queens College in New York with a B.A. in Political Science and a double minor in Latin American Studies and Honors in the Social Sciences. His senior honors thesis focused on clientelistic practices within Venezuelan social programs during the Chávez regime.
Giacomo first joined WJP as an intern for the Rule of Law Index. Prior to WJP, he worked at Renew Democracy Initiative, an NGO that promotes democratic values. Additionally, he was part of a policy research team for New York State Senator John Brooks, where he authored a report on veterans’ educational benefits.
