Lauren Kitz is the Director of Engagement at the World Justice Project, where she works to advance strategic engagement and partnerships, organize the World Justice Forum and other convenings, and support practical, locally-led programs through the World Justice Challenge.
Lauren previously led the National Democratic Institute (NDI)’s work on the political inclusion of marginalized groups, where she supported citizen participation and democratization programs in more than 60 countries and established NDI’s Peace, Security, and Democratic Resilience portfolio. Prior to joining the World Justice Project, Lauren managed the Young Leaders Program at Women Deliver, engaging a global network to build a stronger youth-led movement for gender equality. Her experience also includes community development and transitional justice initiatives with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. Lauren holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Bard College.
