Santiago Pardo

Senior Data Analyst

Santiago Pardo is a Senior Data Analyst who joined the World Justice Project (WJP) in April 2022. At WJP, Santiago has contributed significantly to projects advancing the rule of law globally. Notably, he co-led the data validation process for EUROVOICES, an extensive initiative covering 110 European regions across all 27 EU member states. Santiago also played a key role in analyzing and visualizing data for 26 country reports assessing the Rule of Law across Latin American and the Caribbean countries. Additionally, he contributed to the analysis of legal needs for the Global Justice Data Reports and has provided analytical insights in prisoners' rights and due process in Mexico, demonstrated through his involvement in the Almanaque 2024 - Balance de la Justicia Penal en México project.

Before joining WJP, Santiago worked with GDP Global Development, promoting investment and sustainable development projects throughout Latin America. He also served as a Data Analyst at the Colombian Truth Commission, contributing directly to the Human Rights Chapter of its final report. In this position, Santiago led a dedicated team tasked with analyzing human rights violations and breaches of International Humanitarian Law during Colombia's armed conflict.

Santiago holds a Master's degree in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, where he also earned his bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science. His research and professional interests include evaluating the impacts of public policy on marginalized populations, examining human rights violations, assessing justice system effectiveness globally, and addressing broader sustainable development challenges.
