Tanya Weinberg

Tanya Weinberg is Chief Communications Officer at the World Justice Project, which is committed to building knowledge, generating awareness, and stimulating action that advances the rule of law. Tanya joined the organization in 2021, bringing more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications and journalism that bridges the realms of law, education, domestic policy, international development, and humanitarian response.

Most recently she spent an eventful five years at Georgetown Law, leading efforts to promote the largest U.S. law school, its deep bench of legal experts, and its many legal clinics, centers and institutes pursuing justice in the nation's capital and globally. Previously, as director of communications at Save the Children, she led and contributed to a variety of domestic and international campaigns that achieved policy change and impact for millions of children in the United States and around the world. 

As a journalist, Tanya produced NPR's The Diane Rehm Show and was a reporter at the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, where she covered immigration, public safety, and multicultural communities. She also worked on education policy in the U.S. Senate after being awarded a Congressional Fellowship for Journalists by the American Political Science Association. She holds a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University, a bachelor's in English from the University of Pennsylvania, and has also studied Latin American social policy in Mexico and film and video production at American University.
