2017-2018 WJP Rule of Law IndexOn January 31st, 2018, the World Justice Project will launch the 9th edition of the WJP Rule of Law Index®. The Index measures how the rule of law is experienced and perceived by the general public across the globe. It is the world’s leading source for original, independent data on the rule of law.

The launch event will take place in cooperation with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace at their headquarters in Washington DC. Speakers and RSVP information to follow.

The 2017-2018 WJP Rule of Law Index features: 

  • Latest data for 113 countries

  • Indicators based on 110,000+ household and 3,000+ expert surveys

  • New info on rule of law progress—and declines—around the world

  • Scores and international comparisons for 44 indicators across eight rule of law factors:Constraints on Government Powers, Absence of Corruption, Open Government, Fundamental Rights, Order and Security, Regulatory Enforcement, Civil Justice, and Criminal Justice.
